Guess what I had for dinner last night...
The not-so-good-news about eating chicken in DK presently.
Apparently salmonella is having a ball in chicken from SuperBest, Kvik Spar, Spar and SuperSpar at the moment with a lovely strain resistant to antibiotics. I think what we ate came from Føtex. Yes, I'm sure it did, I think...

No worries - Fotex, Bilka, etc. had their own little salmonella outbreak about a year ago in both chicken and pork tenderloin. Couldn't happen again so soon, right?
I'm not that worried actually. Nothing can be worse than street food in Jakarta :D
When all the Danes collapse, I will be the one left standing LOL
Ping: That's comforting to know. :) I guess when you look at how much food is processed and delivered, we do quite well really and it's amazing more doesn't happen.
writer:Funny you mention that about Jakarta. I ate at those stalls and never got sick. Then went to a resort and was violently ill a few days after being there - and so were a few others.
Fully cook your chicken, wash your hands, throw the cutting board in the dishwasher...and everything will be a-o-k. I honestly don't know how they can put a samonelli-free label on the package (irradiation?). I always assume poultry has the bug and go from there.
hmmmm... people told me that Vegetarians have a hard living in DK... but today, I am proud to be one! :o)
of course, during the tomato scare in the states this spring, I was not as cocky! LOL
